PETER BERRY
I started painting when I was about 25 years old, and was inspired by visits to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions around 1965 – 1970. I entered a painting to the Academy and was accepted. Then marriage and children made it difficult to continue my paintings so there is a huge gap of inactivity but 12 years ago I was able to resume my passion for painting.
I mainly do oil paintings on canvas that attempt to be realistic images, ranging from urban landscapes to erotica. I used to belong to an artist collective in Bedfordshire but have recently moved to Brentford where I have joined the delightful Johnson Artist Community.
