STINE JACOBS

 My work is rooted in my fascination with nature and its endless diversity. Light and shadow, snow and ice, the sea, clouds, plants and landscapes continually inspire me. Growing up with the Norwegian landscape has shaped my sensitivity to the subtle variations of colour, texture, structure and form found in nature.

I seek to translate these impressions into abstract visual experiences.

I often create paintings in pairs or series, allowing one image to develop a dialogue with another. Some works explore expressive interpretations of grass and straw transformed into vibrant rainbow colours, while others take the same composition and reinterpret it through different colour palettes.

I am originally from Norway, living in Germany, since February also partly in Brentford.
